O God, you are the God of all goodness and grace,
worthy of love far greater than we can give or understand.
We ask you to fill our hearts with love like this
that no trial would seem too difficult to undertake
in obeying your ways.
Grant also that in our love for you,
we may become more like you each day,
and finally obtain the crown of life
which you have promised to those who love you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
